University of Wollongong (UOW) PhD student Charbel Dalely Tawk chats to ACES Director Prof Gordon Wallace after submitting his thesis in 2019. Charbel completed a PhD in Soft Robotics and is now an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. His studies looked into developing novel 3D printable soft actuators and soft sensors to be used in diverse soft robotic applications.

Hear from our master's students

Master of Biofabrication student Ane Albillos Sanchez sits down with Prof Gordon Wallace to reflect on her journey. Ane completed her Masters in Biofabrication at UOW in 2019 looking at co-axial printing of nerve and muscle cells to form neuromuscular junctions, and is now a PhD candidate at Maastricht University.
