Dr Caiyun Wang

Qualifications: BSc (Shandong Normal University, China) Research interests: My MSc research involved physical organic chemistry, and focused on the effect of substituent to macromolecule compounds. It involved determination of heterogeneous or homogeneous C-N bond cleavage. My research area was changed to study Ni/MH batteries after I got my master degree, and I was involved in the study of AB5 type alloy and beta - Ni(OH)2. The research topic of my PhD study was about alpha - Ni(OH)2, a promising cathode material for Ni/MH battery. Since joining IPRI I am involved in the research topics of wearable batteries and a wearable power source for preparation of required energy in a wearable diagnostic system to monitoring of vital signs in medical and military applications. More recently my research interests have turned toward control release from conducting polymers. Key publications:
